LIFE IS A SERIES OF SPIRITUAL BATTLES, FROM BIRTH UNTIL DEATH Our Instruction Manual: The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation In the book of Genesis, we see a multi-faceted God at work in the story of Creation. We see God the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ), Rev 19:13 and the Spirit of God in action. We also learn from the same book that we are made in the image of God. We too are multi-faceted, in that, we are body, soul, and spirit. We also understand that our bodies are temporary housing for the spirit and the soul. Ultimately, we are spiritual beings veiled in flesh. This veil obstructs our vision in the realm of the spirit; as such, we are more aware of the physical realm than we are of the spirit. Our tendency then, is to concentrate most of our energy and effort there in the natural. But the God who made us is giving us insight by way of His Word into the fact that our daily struggle in this life is not natural but spiritual, and our enemy is not human, but a supernatural spirit. The purpose of this book is to remind us of this reality and heighten our awareness to the fact that our battles must be fought in the appropriate realm and context in order to ensure victory.
