Book Summary
As my picture reveals, I am the poster boy for "all you should not look like or be like when you get older" Born somewhat in the mid-thirties, as well as in the middle of the night, I seemed to have an aversion to the morning sun-my folks told me.Yet I displayed no leanings toward being nocturnal, leading me to believe that I enjoyed sleeping late in my younger days and knocking off early in the afternoon. Unaware was I that being involved with a higher than normal amount of scraps and bruises, which were mendable, but the attraction to being near the pinnacle or the bowels of some trouble or risky incidents was very confusing to me. I marked it down or chalked it up-your pick-to undue attention being cared upon me and must have felt special on many occassion, when I was singled out by parents, teachers, and worst, siblings for deeds rendered Little did those in authority in my youth know that I was working on the subject matter of my first book A literary giant under thier noses and totally incognito I was basically a choirboy but my assumed identity called for me to be a rascal and by all accounts I excelled in this role, once again Having been in the food business most of my life, a vocation that has no anti-aging ingredients, explains perhaps my appearance but definitely my health, while my sense of humour has come through virtually unscathed My daily medications list now somewhat exceeds my skills directory, however still proud to say my meds, heart surgeries, diabetes, gout and neuropathy are out-distanced by my zest for life Living in Abbotsford, which is life's final exam before our eternal reward, my wife of nearly fifty years still at my side. I have taken up cooking inmy latter years-somewhat by default, and enjoy serving my Lord and Master with various efforts all connected to Mennonite Central Committee, better known as MCC. My good wife works 24/7 with MCC and Helping Hands, with the balance of her time spent doting over me While my modesty will not allow me to claim I have invented new words, I do, on moments such as this, admit to finding a total enjoyment of joining words that others-not as modest as I-claim to have created This then explains Rappelling the Mennonite Mountain
