Biblical Apocrypha: Books Excluded From The King James Version

Book Summary

There are as many different bibles as there are denominations of religion. Some, such as the King James and New World bibles, contain the same books and differ only in their translations of the original languages. Others, such as the King James and Jerusalem bibles, differ in the number of books they contain. Catholic bibles contain more books than Protestant bibles. Orthodox bibles contain more books than Catholic bibles. All Christian bibles contain books not found in the Jewish Tanakh. All bibles omit books accepted as canonical by the first generations of Christians. The books in this volume are no more typical of early Christian canons than other collections of apocrypha. But they are also no less so. And all books found in Catholic or Orthodox but not Protestant bibles have been included.
