Handling Hopelessness I am often baffled when I see Christian leaders who think they can do God's work with the devil's tactics. They claim to be Christians while they know within themselves that they cannot follow Christ's footsteps. Jesus fasted for 40 days and many of them have never fasted for 40 hours. I laugh when I see the same group of people go without food for 24 hours because their doctors asked them to do so. Maybe their faith is not in God but in medical science. Maybe that is why they cannot handle hopelessness. This book is about handling the challenges of life. The book is full of examples of people who went through impossible situations only to come out victorious after holding on to God. Like Job they survived hopelessness. In one case a paralyzed girl regained full use of her limbs.
