Book Summary
This is a book about a tender and painful subject-hurting relationships-in Christian marriage, more specifically the kind of marriage in which Christian women love men who hate them. People ask why I have written this book. Some (men) in my workshops have speculated as to whether I hate men; why else would I write about this topic in such detail? They apparently assume that exposing this issue to scrutiny implies a dislike or disdain for the male gender. Other people wonder whether I have written from personal experience: 'Is her father or husband a misogynist (a man who hates women)?' According to these assumptions, this book is either a way of avenging myself or a therapeutic working out of difficult personal issues.
